ecobee announces their Energy Management System is now available across North America
Toronto, June 29th, 2010 – ecobee, the multiple award-winning green technology company and maker of the Smart Thermostat, announced today that their highly anticipated Energy Management System (EMS) is now available for the commercial market.
The EMS is the newest technology designed for the commercial market. It is filling a void by being ideal in applications where a simple programmable thermostat does not provide adequate controls and functionality, and a full-scale building automation system is too complex and cost prohibitive.
“The EMS will maximize a buildings efficiency by reducing energy consumption and deliver significant cost savings,” says Stuart Lombard, President & CEO, ecobee. “We have created a system for the commercial market that provides building owners, facility managers and contractors tremendous benefits that are not available in higher priced building automation systems.”
Just like the award winning Smart Thermostat, the EMS boasts the same easy-to-use features such as a full color LCD touch screen and programming wizard. It is also WiFi-enabled and provides users with a dedicated management portal that can be used to remotely monitor, identify, analyze and trouble shoot performance issues.
“The ecobee EMS allows users to create standard operating procedures across multiple properties and locations” states Lombard “With a simple click of a mouse, users can manage temperature settings, operational settings and analyze system performance, all without having to make a site visit.”
